A 15-year-old boy, whose name has not been released because of his age has been charged with sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in a men's bathroom at the Community Pool.

He was charged as a juvenile with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was taken into custody Tuesday. Authorities said the teenager molested the boy on Monday.

He remains at the the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center in North Brunswick.

The boy was arrested following an investigation by the Middlesex Borough Police Department and Investigator Karleen Duca of the sex crimes unit of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
